Royal Doulton Royal Baby Figure George - LAST FEW AVAILABLE!
Prince George. A Royal Birth. To celebrate the birth of H.R.H. Prince George of Cambridge on 22nd July 2013. Hand decorated fine bone china. Modelled by Neil Welch. Height 25cm. Issued in a limited edition of 4000, each piece is gift boxed and hand numbered. Available from stock.
The figurine was modelled immediately after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son, made their appearance on the steps of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London, where the prince was born on July 22nd 2013. Sculptor Neil Welch has captured all the details of the moment, from the joyful expressions on the parents' faces and the fine pinstripe on the Duke's shirt to the white spots on the Duchess's sky blue dress and the intense brilliance of the sapphire of her famous engagement ring.
Swaddled in a cream shawl, the one day-old prince is gently held by the Duchess as she and Prince William proudly show him off to the world. The prince was named, the following day, as George Alexander Louis, and he is third in line to succeed his great-grandmother, Elizabeth II to the throne.
H.R.H. Prince George of Cambridge is a heart-warming figurine, which expresses the elation and parental love of the royal couple for their first child.
