23 April 2016 marks Shakespeare’s birthday and the 400th anniversary of his death. To celebrate Royal Crown Derby is launching a bespoke paperweight. Designed by Jane James, modelled by Donald Brindley, based on a gentleman’s nightcap in the collections of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and taking inspiration from the ‘wren of little quill’ in A Midsummer Night’s.
